Sisters make circles of time, a completing of sentences and
memories and laughter, the past curving into now and you both know how it all
rolls.
Will she hold the other end of line in
enfolded prayer when her sister calls late, weeping over a heart that fell down
a flight of love and shattered all silent?
Will they wear each other’s Birks
and tell each other that those jeans just have to go and laugh till their
cheeks hurt and begin their day with early morning phone prayers?
Will they be sisters, the shared
childhood that never ends, the friendship that transcends?

Yes, they will! They will finish each others sentences, they
will laugh til they cannot laugh anymore, we don't wear Birks but we do wear each others cowboys boots and stilettos, they will cry until they cannot cry
anymore, they will pray fervently for one another and they will in essence
complete one another. MARY IS MOVING
BACK!!! So our dream of living in
perfect matching houses side by side is one step closer!
Oh and if that wasn't enough to make me giddy...Grandma moved back and lives a 1/4 mile from us! We have spent like 7 out of the last 10 days with her, the boys and I are so excited!
They will lead each other by the way they passionately love the Lord through all the ups and downs. They will make each other Blue Bell Sundaes and pretend that the Hershey’s syrup “spilled” out too fast.(You're welcome). They will hold each other’s hands through everything big or small. They will finish every conversation laughing even when they don't know why.
ReplyDeleteI love you soulmate! You can borrow my cowboy boots anytime you want – ok, well you need to ask first, but as long as I am not wearing them then you can borrow them. I’ll be home soon!
