The Five Love Languages of Children

So here's one thing that Ellen always begged me to do when I was on staff at Vanguard that I absolutely never felt like I had time to do....READ A BOOK.  And I never even liked reading but this year of being at home, I have felt a calling to read every Christian mothering book I could get my hands on and  a few inspirational ones too.  I have put the ones that I have really thought were life changing on the blog and this one definitely was!  Matt and I read The Five Love Languages before we got married and we have both looked back on it as critical to our marriage and knowing one another's needs.  One of the lovely ladies in our life group, Jess, has a super awesome mama who recommended in the summer that I read this.  And so did Ms. Laura, who let me just tell ya, knows her stuff...she's got six kiddos who all love Jesus!  After finally reading this book, I think I am understanding my boys in a way that I haven't ever been able to because I totally get their love language now. And guess what, they have different ones!  And Laura told me they change as they get older (geez).  I highly recommend reading this, especially if you have more than one kiddo because all their personalities are different, right?
