LIGHT NIGHT 2011

Whenever the girls (my sisters) are in town we have Light Night!  We have a little bit of this...

 

Last night we had buttermilk pancakes, blueberry pancakes, bacon and frittata.  Then mama made us each one of these filled with her homemade hot chocolate....

And we headed out with Matty V at the wheel to show us the brightest, best lights in Colorado Springs!  Daddy and Mama followed behind in Daddy's truck (he came for Christmas too!)  My favorite quote of the night....

Matt: What is the first rule of Light Night Jack?
Jack: What rule?
Matt: Exactly.

Today we are headed out for some sledding, Christmas cookie making, enchilada dinner, and Christmas Eve service.  I love Christmas Eve service.  It's so beautiful, everyone is so happy, all the families come together for worship which is a breathtaking thing to see, all my boys wear matching suits and ties, and we get to visit with almost every brother or sister we have in our tight little Vanguard community because everyone is there, and there's cookies there too!

Christmas Light Nights

We began the tradition of going to look at Christmas lights when we were dating.  We would go out every night after a date and look at lights.  So when we got married we continued that tradition, added some hot chocolate, and a few kiddos!  If you haven't seen the lights around the Springs yet, you should go check them out!
