Thanksgiving

We headed out to Montrose for Thanksgiving this year.  We stayed in a hotel which is always big excitement for the boys...because they have a pool there!  We visited my Andma, my aunt and uncle, and two of my cousins.  Thanksgiving with them is always a blast.  It's seriously like a movie...we eat, everyone goes around the table telling what they are thankful for (which Jack wanted to lead this year), then we watch football, eat pie and coffee, wrestle, go on a walk outside, and end with some good games of poker.

Texas Trip Part 2 (the girls)

It had been 7 years since we had all been together with our Daddy!  We have all seen each other seperately but this is the first time we have all be been together with him in that long.  Way too long!
This is us in birth order...oldest to youngest! Tricia, Micki, Mary and Ellen (however we changed Ellen's name to Candy on the trip, doesn't it just fit her?)

Tiny Texas Houses

So I saw these in Country Living months ago and thought they were awesome!  As we were driving to Houston, I saw them off the highway.  I begged Daddy to stop...oh the things that poor man does for his four daughters...he stayed at the truck while we all literally ran from house to house like little girls seeing dollhouses for the first time!

Texas Part 1

Jack, Moses, and I just got back from Texas.  We had so much fun!  We went to visit my grandparents, my Daddy, and sisters.  Matt and I really believe in spending one on one time with our kiddos and we both got some quality time to build into our children this past weekend.  Matt and Boston went to the park, a long drive through the forest, a playdate with his cousin, church, the car shop, watched movies together, ate lots of fun food from boxes, did homework, and he even got a huge red balloon out of the deal.
Jack got to spend A LOT of time with his Pops which is a relationship that is very, very dear to him.  It was incredible to see their bond.  We lived with him for awhile after Jack was born in the same house he is in now and so this trip brought back a lot of those memories.  I can't even begin to explain how incredible it was to see what God did in each of their hearts back then in those first months of Jack's life and how that bond continues today.
We also got some special time with my grandparents.  I am SO thankful that my boys have 3 great-grandparents still alive who they know.  I loved getting to see them hold and meet Moses.  It was precious.
Here are some pics from our adventure...

Moses' Baby Dedication

Moses had his baby dedication on Sunday!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE baby dedications and I especially love them for our little guys.  I love publicly declaring that they are the Lord's and asking Him to do great things in them.  I love seeing the awesome community surrounding him with love and care to pray over him.  I love that Ellen has prayed over every single one of our boys and was able to pray over little Moses.  I love that Kelly prayed the verses that the Lord specifically gave me for Moses' life and his prayer was so poignant and perfect for Moses. I love that every person in the circle praying for him knows our whole family story and they have an incredible way of reminding me how good God is....my first baby dedication was Jack, my mother, my grandmother, and I in Theater 6 with Kelly and Ellen.  5 years later...I was standing in the middle of friends and family with three little boys and listening to Ellen thank the Lord that Moses has a father like Matt Vincent.  All my boys are so blessed by their Daddy, as am I.  How incredible is the Lord we serve, how gracious, how merciful, how good, good good!

Snow Day

Don't you love a good snow day? I know I do! I was excited when Mo got me up at 5am this morning, I checked the school website and it said in big, bold print CLOSED!
Here's why I love them though...it gives me an excuse to slow down. I wish I could convince myself it was a snow day everyday and just sit on the couch with warm blankets out of the dryer, hot cocoa off the stove, Dumbo on the TV, and some Beth Moore in my hand.

Here's a couple recipes that I have been making and a few of you have asked for...they are awesome! And for those of you participating in the day of fasting today, it's from food not coffee right? :)
